I’m Christian Alexander, I grew up in Haywards Heath and went to school in both Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, so this area has always been part of my life.
I run a construction and engineering business, and that has taught me that with competence, a clear plan and the will to follow through, you can get things done. It has also taught me the importance of listening, understanding what people need and delivering practical results.
Hard work, family, common sense and purpose matter deeply to me. Like many local people, I believe in building something, taking responsibility and wanting the place you call home to be somewhere you can feel proud of.
What concerns me most is that too many people feel our towns are losing their identity, local businesses are under pressure and over-regulation is making it harder for people to get ahead. I believe we should be backing local enterprise, restoring pride in our communities and making life easier for the people who work hard and do the right thing.
I get frustrated when things are not done properly, because local people are the ones who live with the consequences. You deserve representatives who are competent, honest and focused on results, not excuses.
I want to be someone who says it as it is, speaks with common sense and gets the job done. That is the kind of representative I want to be for this community.
