I’m Sebastian Monk, a lifelong Burgess Hill resident, and I’m proud to be standing for Burgess Hill East.
Having grown up here, I’ve seen how much our town has changed, but I also know it is not yet fulfilling its full potential. With major changes ahead for local government in West Sussex, I want to bring a fresh perspective and be a strong voice for you and your family throughout that transition.
My priorities are clear: protecting the services you rely on, keeping a balanced budget without cuts, standing up for fair council tax, and making sure Burgess Hill East gets the attention it deserves. As a young carer, I understand how important dependable local services are for families, especially adult social care, and I believe every decision should be taken with care, responsibility and common sense. I also want to see safer roads, action on potholes, and a tougher approach to crime and anti-social behaviour so you feel safer in your community.
I’m standing because I want to be an approachable, hardworking local advocate who listens properly and gets things done. My aim is simple: to stand up for Burgess Hill East, support local community groups and young people, and make sure our area has the strong representation it deserves.
