Cllr Samantha Smith has been working tirelessly along with Ray Smith, Chairman of Burgess hill Bowls Club to identify a site for a for a Petanque pitch in Burgess Hill. She is delighted to advise that a site on Fairfield Recreation ground was approved by MSDC on the 21.01.2021. Thanks must also be given to Pru Moore who started this work along with Ray many years ago. Sports England and Section 106 monies are being used to deliver this project.

"This project has taken many years to come to fruition, I am delighted that Burgess Hill will now have its own Petanque pitch. I am very grateful for the help of Pru, Sam and Steve Cridland at Burgess Hill Town Council, we have many people on the waiting list who cannot wait to play on this new pitch."
