A fond farewell was bid to the outgoing priest of St. Wilfrids & his family as they moved to a new parish in Chichester.
Local ward Cllr Sandy Ellis said:
"I was delighted to help over the years as chairman of Haywards Heath in bloom with St. Richards church & count on nature initiative.
Donations of seeds & flower beds were donated by the Town Councillors to support St. Richards wonderful initiatives, leaving a lasting legacy for the amazing work that they carried out with their congregation in our community.
Our churches & faith groups play such an important part in bringing the community together & the many volunteers who share their time in helping others."
