It has recently come to light that the Liberal Democrat led District council has decided to impose parking charges within Hurstpierpoint Village. This decision presents a potential negative impact on our community for several reasons. It may discourage visitors from coming to our village, thus affecting local businesses which rely on their footfall. It might also put an additional financial strain on our residents.
This decision was taken with little to no consultation with the citizens whose lives it will affect. This petition brings together the people of Hurstpierpoint Village (HPP) in demonstrating our strong stance against these parking charges and the way the decision was made.
Our goal is to collect as many signatures as possible to personify our profound disapproval. The collected signatures will be personally presented at the next Mid Sussex District Council (MSDC) meeting in order to make our voices heard. Please, stand with us in defending the accessibility of our village. Sign this petition today. Let's make a difference. Together.
